Seafood Chowder

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 8 strips of bacon
  • ½ cup of small scallops
  • crab meat- measure with
    your heart
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 5 stalks of celery
  • 1 onion
  • 1 TBSP garlic
  • Thyme
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 4 Tbsp flour
  • ½ Water

Fry bacon in a medium sized pot

Remove Bacon and set aside for later

Chop celery and onions

Sauté the celery, onions, and garlic in the bacon grease (add the garlic last)

Add flour

Add heavy cream

Chop potatoes into medium sized cubes

Add potatoes to the pot

Add water

Boil potatoes until soft enough to incorporate into the chowder

Add thyme

Add scallops and crab meat

COOK FOR 8 MINUTES
